David Maillu, from Kenya, is one of the most prolific writers in Africa. His astonishing output of books is complemented by his mainstream popularity as a writer in Kenya and beyond. Some east African literary pundits insist that he has published well over 60 books! He is the author of For Mbatha and Rabeka, one of the best known published works in africa.
Maillu, who holds a doctorate degree, has published dozens of other books, though. They include My dear Bottle, Troubles, Dear Monica, No!, Hit of Love, Equatorial Assignment, Benni Kamba 009, The ayah, Our kind of polygamy, The last hunter, Broken Drum, Zawadi, The priceless gift, and My Pen-Friend.
