Sello Duikier died at only 30 years of age but he was already recognized at the highest level as a great African writer. He received a degree in journalism from Rhodes University, he also briefly studied at the University of Cape Town. Tragically he ended his life by suicide in the end.
His books include - Thirteen Cents. New Africa Books, The Quiet Violence Of Dreams, When You Least Expect It", (Modern South African stories, Stephen Gray (ed) A.D. Donker, 2002) and The Hidden Star (2006)
