Whilst in her early 20's during apartheid, South Africa’s Sindiwe Magona seemed trapped - left all alone to cater for three very young children. Yet incredibly, she somehow overcame all obstacles, and went on to become one of Africa's all time great female writers.
The story, or rather stories of her remarkbale life, have been chronicled in her published works like To my children's children. Other books include Push! Push! Mother to mother, Beauty's Gift, (Kwela Books) and Please, Take Photographs,
