Elechi Amadi has been one of Nigeria's outstanding creative writers over the decades. His most famous novel is The Concubine.
Amadi was born in 1934 in Aluu (Rivers State) He studied at the University of Ibadan and obtained a degree in Physics and Mathematics. His other fine novels include The great ponds, The Slave, Estrangement, and Isiburu.
